A traditional herbal tonic for physical tension, nervous system settling, and the places stress lands in the body.

Serious Relaxer by WishGarden Herbs is a layered botanical formula created for the days when stress does not stay in the mind — it moves into the neck, shoulders, back, jaw, sleep, breath, and body.

At Viriditas, we chose this formula for clients who recognize that tension is not just a feeling. It can become a posture, a clenched jaw, a tight shoulder, a restless night, or a body that has forgotten how to fully soften.

This is not a skincare product, muscle relaxant, pain medication, or replacement for medical care. Think of it as a short-term herbal ally for body tension and nervous system unwinding.

Best For

  • Stress that shows up as physical tension

  • Tight shoulders, jaw, neck, back, or body holding

  • Evening wind-down rituals when the body feels restless

  • Travel, overuse, repetitive motion, or long days at a desk

  • Clients who prefer herbal tinctures over capsules or strongly scented rubs

  • Short-term use when the body is asking to unclench

Why We Love It

This formula speaks to the body version of stress — the kind that does not always respond to “just relax.”

Valerian, passionflower, scullcap, hops, and wood betony bring traditional nervine support, while black cohosh, wild lettuce, and ginger help round out the formula for body tension and muscular ease.

We like this one for the end of a long day, especially when the nervous system is tired but the body still feels braced.

How It Fits Into a Skin Ritual

Skin responds to the state of the whole body. Stress, poor sleep, jaw tension, inflammation, and nervous system strain can all influence how the skin looks, feels, and repairs.

Serious Relaxer does not act directly on breakouts, redness, or texture. Instead, it supports the deeper terrain around tension, rest, and recovery — the part of the ritual that asks the body to put down what it has been carrying.

Pair with warm water, magnesium-rich foods, stretching, a warm compress, dim evening light, and a simple skincare ritual that signals: the day is complete.

Pro Tips

This is a short-term “body is braced” formula, not a daily forever tonic. Use when stress has settled into the muscles, then pair it with the boring-but-sacred things: water, warmth, stretching, breath, and actual rest.
